ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area Public Schools Board of Education elected officers at the January 13 Committee of the Whole

Meeting. After discussion, Jim Beauchamp was re-elected as board president. Steve Howes will continue to serve as vice president, and J.J. Johnson-Reeves will return as board secretary. Dan Flynn will serve as treasurer.

“Our board is strong,” said Johnson-Reeves during the voting. “We have excellent consistency and a solid board/superintendent relationship, and this has allowed us to focus on doing great things for the EAPS. Our staff is wonderful, our students are achieving well academically, and we’re in a strong financial position. I look forward to seeing this continue.”

The next meeting of the Escanaba Board of Education will be February 10 at 6 p.m.
