Chamber Mid-winter Gala ‘Dancing through the Decades’ coming Feb. 1
ESCANABA – If you’ve been wanting to break out that groovy Disco jumpsuit and platform shoes, pull that flapper dress out from the depths of your closet, or show off your new formal wear, the Delta County Chamber of Commerce Annual Mid-Winter Gala presents the perfect opportunity. Whether you come with friends, coworkers, your significant other, or even solo to meet other people, it’s sure to be a fun evening.
This year’s Midwinter Gala will feature a “Dancing through the Decades” theme, so everyone is welcome to come dressed in an outfit from their favorite decade.
The event, considered by many to be Delta County’s premiere social gala, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Island Resort and Casino. “We are looking forward to a great night of fun music and delicious dining, and we are immensely thankful to our members and businesses for their support of the event and accept our pledge to offer a great deal of exposure of our members’ sponsorships at the event,” Chamber Associate Director Sheila Krueger said.
The gala will still start at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and social, followed by dinner at 7 p.m., and finally, a dance with music that will span the decades by Taylored Weddings Entertainment from 9 to 11 p.m.
The culinary staff at the Island Resort & Casino will be providing a delicious meal, including a selection of savory entrees, side dishes, salads, and delectable desserts.
This year’s presenting sponsor is The Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation. Todd C. LaFave, financial manager with the Kobasic Foundation, explained why they chose to sponsor. “Since its inception, the Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation has been a proud supporter of the Delta County Chamber of Commerce. We believe in the Chamber’s mission and the positive effect it has on our local community. We’re proud to sponsor the 2025 Gala to further that mission.”
