Weather advisory for snow, high winds
MARQUETTE — According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. (EST) today until 1 p.m. Thursday for Iron and Delta counties. During that time, total snow accumulations of between 3 and 7 inches are expected and winds may gust as high as 35 miles per hour.
The National Weather Service has identified Gladstone, Escanaba, and Iron River as potentially affected by the storm.
Travel could be difficult during the advisory period. Areas of blowing snow may significantly reduce visibility, and hazardous conditions could impact Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution.
