RAPID RIVER — The last opportunity to see this year’s Lights in the Park, the festive display in Masonville Township Recreation Area (where Cole and Pine Streets meet in southeast Rapid River), is this Saturday, Dec. 21 between 6 and 8 p.m. Santa, music, hayrides, and concessions will be onsite. Admission is free, but the donation of a non-perishable food item is suggested; collections will go to “Stuff a Blue Goose” a food drive run by the Michigan State Police.

On Sunday, Dec. 22, the Rapid River Business Association requests assistance from anyone who are available to help take down the decorations. Volunteers may show up to the park to lend a hand starting at 9 a.m.
