As a Thanksgiving charity outreach, volunteers pack food baskets for veterans. The program provided vets with whole turkeys and boxes full of trimmings for a Thanksgiving meal plus some other basic food items last week. It was organized by the Seventh-Day Adventist pantry in collaboration with the Community Foundation, Enbridge, Delta County Veteran Services, and Upper Peninsula Construction Council’s Sheet Metal Local 7 and IBEW 906.
