Drug dealer nabbed with meth, cocaine in vehicle
ESCANABA — Over the past several months detectives from Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) have been investigating a known drug dealer from Delta County. On December 28, detectives from UPSET along with troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) and the K-9 Unit from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that was driven by the suspect. The K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle and during a search of the vehicle officers seized approximately a pound of crystal methamphetamine and an ounce of cocaine.
The driver was lodged in the Delta County Jail.
The name of the suspect is currently being withheld and no additional information is being released as the investigation is ongoing.
UPSET was assisted by troopers from the MSP Traffic Safety Team and K-9 Unit from Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
