ESCANABA — 2023 Michigan State Teacher of the Year Nanette Hanson will be honored when the Michigan Wolverines play for a national college football championship today.

Hanson, a teacher at Lemmer Elementary School was named 2023 Michigan State Teacher of the Year last year. She will be joining the University of Michigan Wolverines in Houston today as a part of the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers program. Hanson work in the classroom will be highlighted.
