Manistique Area Girl Scout leaders requested funds and were granted $500 through the Schoolcraft County Community Foundation to ensure all girls interested in joining have the opportunity to participate. Above, Bri Tiglas and Lily Knaffla (YAC members who benefitted from the scouting experience when they were younger) present a check to current girl scouts at a recent meeting. This small investment will pay big dividends as these young girls develop their individual strengths and interests, connect with others, and take action to improve our local community.
