MENOMINEE — Activities of the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department.

November 7

10:10 am – A deputy initiated a traffic stop on Pine Ave in Spalding Township. Upon further investigation the driver, a 64-year-old Hermansville man, was arrested for driving while license revoked, failure to transfer registration plates and operating without security. He was advised the courts would contact and was released.

2:30 pm – A deputy was dispatched to S-3 Drive in Menominee Township for a dumping complaint. The caller stated someone dumps some household furniture along the roadway.

3:15 pm – A deputy was dispatched to CR 557 in Harris Township for a welfare check. Caller stated some kids have not been in school in Wisconsin and they suspected they were staying with family. Kids were located and in good health.

November 9

6:29 am – A deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on US 41 in Menominee Township. A vehicle driven by John Anttila (49) of Ingalls was traveling north when he went to pass a vehicle driven by Bradley Decker (50) of Marinette on the right. Decker was turning right and struck Anttila while he was improperly passing. No injuries were reported in the crash. Anttila’s vehicle sustained disabling damage.

8:04 am – A deputy was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint on G-18 in Nadeau Township. The caller stated someone damaged his vehicle overnight. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

9:49 am – Deputy arrested a 42-year-old Powers woman on a valid warrant in Powers. The warrant was for retail fraud out of 94th District Court of Delta County. The female was transported to the Delta County line where Public Safety Officers took custody of her.

4:29 pm – A deputy was dispatched to a breaking and entering complaint on US 2 in Meyer Township. The caller stated that he returned home to find a subject exiting his house. He stated he had words and then the subject left after he called the police. The caller later advised that he no longer wanted to pursue any charges.
