ESCANABA — the City of Escanaba Water Department has extended service hours to assist residents with important water infrastructure needs. Starting immediately, the Water Department will be going door to door between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to ensure greater accessibility for residents.

During these extended hours, Water Department employees will:

– Obtain signed agreements for the replacement of lead service lines.

– Conduct inspections of plumbing inside homes, as needed.

– Replace water meters, if necessary, to ensure accurate and efficient service.

The extended hours are designed to accommodate residents who may be unable to address these matters during standard business hours. Our goal is to make it as convenient as possible for all community members to participate in this critical initiative, ensuring the safety and reliability of our water system.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to address any outstanding issues and complete the required agreements. Residents can identify the Water Department employees as they will be driving City of Escanaba Water Department vehicles.
