ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.
Steven Lee Davis, of 433 29th Street, in Gladstone pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Davis was sentenced to 85 days in jail with credit for 85 days already served. He was also ordered to 24 months of probation. Davis was also ordered to pay $908 in fines and fees.
Alahnya Jean Meza, of 210 South 11th Street, in Escanaba pleaded guilty to one count of abandoning/cruelty to four to 10 animals. Meza was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days already served. Meza will also be placed on probation for 24 months. Meza was also ordered to pay $1964.09 in fines, fees and restitution.
Paul William King, of 1401 North 23rd Street, Lot 126, in Escanaba, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail for each count and credited a total of two days already served. King will also be placed on probation for six months.
Robert Francis Cox, of 8363 Venture P.2 Lane, in Gladstone, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance- methamphetamine/ecstasy. He was sentenced to 24 months to five years in prison for each count and credited a total of 142 days already served. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Cox was also ordered to pay $266 in fines and fees.
Zoie Morgan Quick aka Zoie Morgan aka Chouinard, of 4499 Danforth Road in Escanaba pleaded guilty to three counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, one count of malicious destruction of fire or police property, one count of fleeing a police officer in the third degree, and one count of operating while intoxicated.
For all six counts, Quick was sentenced to a total of 381 days in jail with credit for a total of 24 days already served.
According to the court report, the balance of jail time is held in abeyance. Quick must follow all rules, regulations, and directions of the sobriety court and successfully complete the sobriety court program including paying all fees incurred.
She was also ordered to pay $3228.40 in fines, fees and restitution.
Dylan Lee Stevenson, of 203 North 18th Street, in Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of sex offenders – failure to comply with reporting duties. He was ordered to pay $698 in fines and fees.
