ESCANABA — Bay College announces The Celebration of Student Success, a juried art exhibition showcasing the creative achievements of students enrolled in the college’s Fall 2024 art courses. The exhibit will be on display in the Besse Gallery from December 5 through January 2025.

An opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 5 at 2 p.m. in the Besse Gallery. This event offers the opportunity to meet the talented student artists and learn about their work.

The exhibition represents a culmination of the semester’s creative efforts. Works on display include drawings, videos, and sculptures created in the following art courses: Digital Cinema I & II, Intro to Art and Design, Performance and Installation, and Drawing I & II. Students used a variety of media to develop unified compositions that effectively communicate their ideas and skills.

As part of the juried show, one artwork from each course will be purchased to join Bay College’s Permanent Art Collection. Additionally, second and third-place winners will receive monetary awards.

This event is free and open to the public. Friends, family and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate the success of Bay College’s talented art students.
