ESCANABA –The Bay Sages will gather for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, October 5, at 10 a.m at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay de Noc Community College.

The Bay Sages is an organization established to provide educational opportunities for older adults residing in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members.

Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.

The Fraud Prevention Team from the Embers Credit Union will present the program for October. They will discuss fraudulent and scamming techniques they have seen in their daily work and share suggestions for what we can do to protect our assets from them.

Future programs will include: Nov. 2 – Home Health Care and Hospice, Gayle DeShambo; Dec. 7 – Delta County Historical Pictures, Rich Anzalone and Christmas Luncheon; January – no meeting; February 1 – Social Security; March 7 – 50 years of the Bonifas Fine Arts Center; April 4 – Escanaba Public Library; May 2 – Henry Ford (part 2); June 7 – Travelogue and Birthday Luncheon.
