Escanaba City Manager Patrick Jordan was presented with the first two tickets to the 2017 Back our Blue event by event founders Sandy and Jim Thomma. Back Our Blue is a community gathering to show law enforcement appreciation, respect and support. This year an expanded event will be held on Wednesday, Aug 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Municipal Dock in Escanaba. A picnic supper will be provided including a brat/hotdog, chips, soda and Schwans ice cream. The cost for the meal will be $5 with tickets available for pre-sale at Positively in Downtown Escanaba, Brampton Bike and Ski in Gladstone and Delta County Credit Union Offices in Escanaba and Wells. You may also order online at BendYourLife.com (a small convenience fee applies.) Music will be provided by The Cadillac’s. New 2017 blue T shirts and durable plastic yard signs will be for sale with proceeds going to Delta County’s law enforcement.
