First Dollar Certificate presented to Treats and Things
MANISTIQUE — Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce (STC) is proud to present a 1st Dollar Certificate to Treats and Things, a vibrant new addition to downtown Manistique. Owners Beth Atkinson and Lisa Rosebush opened their doors on June 25, 2024, bringing a unique blend of delicious treats and charming gifts to the community.
Beth, who had long dreamed of owning an ice cream shop, saw an opportunity in a building she already owned. She invited Lisa to join her in the venture, and together they set off on a road trip to find exciting products to feature in their store. The result? A
fun and inviting shopping destination offering Nathan’s Hot Dogs, Chips & Cheese, soft-serve ice cream, Island Oasis frozen drinks, kids’ items, home decor, unique gifts, and candy.
Both Beth and Lisa are no strangers to small business success. Beth previously owned Petique for 20 years and operated a general store in the same space now home to Treats and Things. Lisa and her husband Steve owned NAPA Auto Parts in Manistique for 24 years. Their combined experience and passion for customer service make Treats and Things a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.
“We are thrilled to welcome Treats and Things to our business community and recognize their entrepreneurial spirit with this 1st Dollar Certificate,” said Victoria George, executive director of Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce. “Beth and Lisa have created a truly special shop that brings joy to residents and visitors alike.”
Lisa Rosebush, co-owner of Treats and Things, shared a simple yet meaningful message: “Have fun and be kind.”
