ESCANABA — Locally owned TEAM Wireless, Verizon Authorized Retailer, will be acquiring Wireless Mike’s, Verizon Authorized Retailer of Mattoon, Ill., effective Sept. 1. Wireless Mike’s independently owns and operates 11 retail locations throughout Central Illinois.

TEAM Wireless was founded in 2001 in Escanaba,. This will mark TEAM Wireless’ fourth acquisition in the past seven years. In addition to the acquisitions, TEAM Wireless has opened 14 locations throughout Michigan and Wisconsin since its founding. TEAM Wireless will now independently own and operate 44 retail locations throughout Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois while maintaining its headquarters in Escanaba. TEAM Wireless is a Verizon Wireless authorized retailer, Charter Spectrum authorized retailer, a WeBoost signal amplifier retailer, and carries a full line of wireless accessories.
