ESCANABA — The Delta County Cancer Alliance Luminary Event is scheduled Saturday, February 8, at 2 p.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church for the Annual Community Cancer Alliance Luminary Event. This event supports our community coming together to support cancer survivors and the loved ones we have lost to cancer.

This is a family event. The doors will be open at 1 p.m. There will be tables filled with art supplies and luminary bags that can be purchased for $5 each to individually decorate “In Memory of and in Honor of” loved ones that we have lost to cancer or who may be enduring the challenges of cancer.

At 2 p.m. the luminary bags will be beautifully displayed followed by a ceremony of “Memory and Honor”.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

If you would like to decorate bags but cannot be at the event they will be available at the DCCA office, 3430 Ludington Street. Payment will be accepted when completed to be displayed either at the office or the day of the event.
