He was honorably discharged in 2012 and returned to Escanaba. He is currently serving in the Michigan Army National Guard. Upon returning from active duty, he became employed with the Delta County Sheriff’s corrections department. He had the opportunity to go to the NMU Police Academy and became a Deputy in 2014. In 2017 he became a K9 handler and Jet became a part of the family. He has made many sacrifices of himself and for his family over the years to protect the community and country.
The Elks congratulate McDonough and thank him for his countless hours serving the community and country.
