Democrats to meet

Breakfast at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish

ESCANABA — St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish, 709 1st Ave. South, Escanaba, will be having its monthly breakfast on Sunday, April 27 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall, which is located in the basement of the church. There is elevator access to the parish hall inside the 7th street side door entrance to the church. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Genealogical Society to meet Monday

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. in room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center building at Bay College. Bring your stories and research problems to the meeting.

Gladstone Lions Spring Social set for May 3

GLADSTONE — On Saturday, May 3, the Gladstone Lions Club will be hosting its annual Spring Social. The event will take place at the Terrace Bluff Golf Course. The doors open at 7 p.m. with live music by Stonewall starting at 8 p.m.

A silent auction, bucket raffles, and 50/50 raffles will be held throughout the night. The event is open to the general public and tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.

DAV meeting planned

ESCANABA — Disabled American Veterans Chapter #24 will conducting meetings at 7 p.m. the first Monday of every month at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba.

Menominee MARSP meeting set for May 8

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, May 8, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338, in Carbondale. Registration will be from 10:45 to 11:25 a.m. CDT with the lunch served at 11:30 a.m. CDT. On the menu is a chicken dinner at a cost of $15.

The program will include a welcome back and a brief business meeting, MARSP handouts and information about insurance and legislative issues.
