NARFE to meet virtually
ESCANABA — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet by Zoom only at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 23.
Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the chapter email distribution and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.
Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.
NARFE Chapter 1900 was chartered in 1983 and includes members from the Marquette, Escanaba, Rapid River, Ontonagon, L’Anse, Houghton and Hancock areas. For additional information, email upmags@gmail.com.
Steak feed in Gladstone
GLADSTONE — The next Gladstone American Legion Post 71 Steak Feed Dinner will be held Thursday, April 24, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gladstone American Legion Post 71, 802 Delta Ave, Gladstone. There is a cost for the meal.
Lions Spring Social
GLADSTONE — On Saturday, May 3, the Gladstone Lions Club will be hosting its annual Spring Social. The event will take place at the Terrace Bluff Golf Course. The doors open at 7 p.m. with live music by Stonewall starting at 8 p.m.
A silent auction, bucket raffles, and 50/50 raffles will be held throughout the night. The event is open to the general public and tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.
UMC clothes closet
ADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Church Clothes Closet is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closet offers free clothes, coats and shoes for children, adults and in all sizes, including infant and plus sizes.
