Sally Robitaille

ESCANABA — The 2024-2025 recipient of the Elks Auxiliary member of the year is Sally Robitaille. Robitaille has been an auxiliary member since 2017.

Robitaille has volunteered in many ways as an auxiliary member in lodge events and auxiliary events. She has served on committees for Memorial service luncheons, children’s Christmas parties, Corks and Kegs, Christmas basket raffle, bingo caller onTaco Tuesday, basket raffle ticket seller.

Robitaille has also set up the dining room for dinner meetings, changed out lodge decorations for all holidays and season changes.

“We certainly value our members like Sally, who always step up to the plate to help with what is needed. She has been our ‘Sargent of Arms’ for a few years and keeps the meetings running smoothly,” the group said in a press release announcing Robitaille’s award.

Robitaille is retired from the Escanaba Area Public Schools where she worked in many capacities including bus aide, noon hour supervisor, and classroom aide. She has three grown children, Kim Robinson, Kerri Zalaznik and Ken Robitaille. Robitaille also has seven grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, puzzles, being on her iPad and playing cards and board games with her family.

Robitaille’s favorite thing about being a member of the auxiliary is enjoying social time at our monthly meetings, meeting new friends and how the auxiliary helps the lodge in different ways and local charities in the community.
