Spring Story Hour at Gladstone Library

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will be holding a Spring Story Hour on Saturday, April 26, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Children ages 2 to 10 years old are invited to attend with their families. Activities will include stories, a spring-themed craft and a snack.

Gladstone Lions Club Spring Social

GLADSTONE — On Saturday, May 3, the Gladstone Lions Club will be hosting its annual Spring Social. The event will take place at the Terrace Bluff Golf Course. The doors open at 7 p.m. with live music by Stonewall starting at 8 p.m.

A silent auction, bucket raffles, and 50/50 raffles will be held throughout the night. The event is open to the general public and tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.

NARFE to meet virtually

ESCANABA — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet by Zoom only at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26. The guest speaker will be Robert Van Howe of the Marquette County Health Department. He will speak about bird flu, Lyme disease, West Nile virus, and a new mosquito-borne virus.

Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the Chapter email distribution and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.

Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.
