Breakfast at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish

ESCANABA — St. Joseph & St. Patrick parish will host its monthly breakfast in the parish hall on Sunday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

NARFE to meet virtually

ESCANABA — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet by Zoom only at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26. The guest speaker will be Robert Van Howe of the Marquette County Health Department. He will speak about bird flu, Lyme disease, West Nile virus, and a new mosquito-borne virus.

Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the Chapter email distribution and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.

Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.

NARFE Chapter 1900 was chartered in 1983 and includes members from the Marquette, Escanaba, Rapid River, Ontonagon, L’Anse, Houghton and Hancock areas. For additional information, email upmags@gmail.com.

Genealogical Society to meet Monday at Bay

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. in room 961of the Joseph Heirman Building at Bay College in Escanaba. Gladstone library hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library has announced its spring break hours. The library will be open March 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; April 1 through April 3, the library will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and the library will be closed April 4.

The library will also be closed April 18.
