St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle winner
WELLS — The winner of the St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle for March 17 is Dan Madalinski of Wells. Madalinski won the weekly $100 prize.
Book donations sought
ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters is looking for donations of books, audio books, DVDs and music CDs to be sold at its annual book sale at the Waterfront Art Festival. They are also in need of large print books, which are often requested.
Funds from the annual sale are used to publish Voter Guides and for other voter services.
Donated materials should be no more than 10 years old and in good condition. The League is not able to accept and store large quantities of books and requests that the books meet the donation criteria.
The book drop-off location has changed. Books can be delivered during normal business hours to the Ludington Centre, 1112 Ludington St. Use the 11th Street entrance, Suite 208, walk straight in and look for the sign. Pick-ups can also be arranged by calling Pat Rudden at 906-280-1789.
Skating event to support ice rink project
WELLS — Enhance Escanaba will host an afternoon of ice skating at the Wells Sports Complex on Saturday, March 22, from 1-3 p.m. During the event, Enhance Escanaba will be accepting donations for its portable, refrigerated ice rink project. After March 20, call on March 25 to order any available pasties.
