Pasties in Rapid River
RAPID RIVER — St. Charles Borromeo, of Rapid River, will have fresh pasties are available for pickup at its parish center on Tuesday, March 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Call 906-474-6606 until March 20 to pre-order pasties with or without rutabaga. After March 20, call on March 25 to order any available pasties.
Tri-County MEA-R
ESCANABA — The U.P. Tri-County MEA-R Chapter will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 8, at 10 a.m. (EDT) at Bay College, Conference Room SC525, located behind Cafe Bay in the Student Services Building. Please use parking Lot D.
Any interested retired or current MEA members are welcome to attend.
Gladstone library sets spring break hours
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library has announced its spring break hours. The library will be open March 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; April 1 through April 3, the library will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and the library will be closed April 4.
The library will also be closed April 18.
Gladstone Class of 1975 reunion planned
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone High School Class of 1975 will be celebrating their 50th class reunion on Thursday, May 28, exactly 50 years from their graduation date.
The reunion will be held at the Gladstone Golf Club with a social hour starting at 5:30 p.m. and dinner to follow. For more information, check the “Gladstone High School Class of 1975” Facebook group page.
Manistique 50th class reunion set for July
MANISTIQUE — The 50th class reunion of Manistique High School Class of 1975 will be held at the Indian Lake Golf and Country Club on July 12. The time and ticket price will soon be determined. Planning is in progress and the class is looking for members to serve on the planning committee.
Up-to-date addresses are also needed. To report any new addresses from the past ten years, contact Charlene Greene at 906-282-2459 or email ManistiqueHSclassof75@gmail.com.
There is also a private Facebook group, “Manistique High School Class of 75,” which is updated regularly.
Classmates interested in helping to plan the event should contact Greene by text, email or Facebook messenger.
Dance in Rock
ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, April 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be performed by Red River Band.
There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.
