Skating event to support rink project
WELLS — Enhance Escanaba will host an afternoon of ice skating at the Wells Sports Complex on Saturday, March 22, from 1-3 p.m. During the event, Enhance Escanaba will be accepting donations for its portable, refrigerated ice rink project.

Pasties from St. Charles Borromeo in Rapid River
RAPID RIVER — St. Charles Borromeo, of Rapid River, will have fresh pasties are available for pickup at its parish center on Tuesday, March 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Call 906-474-6606 until March 20 to pre-order pasties with or without rutabaga.
After March 20, call on March 25 to order any available pasties.
Dance in Rock
ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, April 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be performed by Red River Band.
There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

ESCANABA — The U.P. Tri-County MEA-R Chapter will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 8, at 10 a.m. (EDT) at Bay College, Conference Room SC525, located behind Cafe Bay in the Student Services Building. Please use parking Lot D.

Free clothes closet
GLADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Church Clothes Closet is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closet offers free clothes, coats and shoes for children, adults and in all sizes, including infant and plus sizes.
The church and clothes closet are located at 1920 Lake Shore Dr., Gladstone (near McDonald’s). Call 906-428-9311 for more information or to schedule another time.
DAV meetings will resume in April
ESCANABA — Disabled American Veterans Chapter #24 will be conducting meetings at 7 p.m. the first Monday of every month, starting April 7, 2025 at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba.
