Gladstone library spring break hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library has announced its spring break hours. The library will be open March 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; April 1 through April 3, the library will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and the library will be closed April 4.

The library will also be closed April 18.

Bad Dog at Gladstone Legion Saturday

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone American Legion Post 71 will host the live music of Bad Dog on Saturday, March 15 from 7 to 11 p.m. The Legion hall is located at 802 Delta Ave.

There is a cover charge to attend. The public is welcome.

Central UMC pasty sale

ESCANABA — Central United Methodist Church will be holding a pasty sale on March 21. All orders must be made by 10 a.m. on March 17.

Orders can be made by calling the church at 906-786-0643 or

Arleen at 906-233-9194. Orders after deadline will be placed on a reserve list.

When ordering specify if pasties are to be made with or without rutabaga.

The next pasty sale is set for Nov. 25. Central United Methodist Church is located at 322 S Lincoln Road in Escanaba.

Skating event to ­support ice rink project

WELLS — Enhance Escanaba will host an afternoon of ice skating at the Wells Sports Complex on Saturday, March 22, from 1-3 p.m. During the event, Enhance Escanaba will be accepting donations for its portable, refrigerated ice rink project. Pasties in Rapid River

RAPID RIVER — St. Charles Borromeo, of Rapid River, will have fresh pasties are available for pickup at its parish center on Tuesday, March 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Call 906-474-6606 until March 20 to pre-order pasties with or without rutabaga. After March 20, call on March 25 to order any available pasties.
