“Community has always been at the core of who I am. While I definitely could have built a new one elsewhere, earning my bachelor’s degree surrounded by my Escanaba family made the experience even more meaningful – especially as a first-generation student,” said Jordan. “The flexibility of online classes allowed me to keep advancing my career while staying engaged in my community.”
Jordan also highlighted the faculty that assisted them on their journey.
“Professor Chad Barbour, who saw me through many semester’s of literature courses, and Geralyn Narkiewicz, the now-retired Career Services Coordinator who encouraged my life-changing study abroad experience, made my time at LSSU unforgettable. Their support, along with my community’s, shaped my education and future. I couldn’t be prouder to be an LSSU graduate.”
