Skating event to benefit rink project March 22

WELLS — Enhance Escanaba will host an afternoon of ice skating at the Wells Sports Complex on Saturday, March 22, from 1-3 p.m. During the event, Enhance Escanaba will be accepting donations for its portable, refrigerated ice rink project.

St. Thomas Church breakfast March 2

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will hold a breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 2. The public is always welcome.

Live music at Legion

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone American Legion will host the live band Bad Dog on Saturday, March 15, from 7-11 p.m. The Gladstone American Legion Post 71 is located at 802 Delta Ave.

There is a $5 cover.

Pasty sale March 12-13

ESCANABA — Pasties will be available for pickup at St. Thomas Church from 3 to 5 p.m. on March 12 and 13. Pasties will be available with or without rutabaga on a first-come-first-served basis.

Democrats to meet

ESCANABA — The Delta Dems general meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the USW Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, March 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be provided by Country Express. There is a door cost and free-will donation lunch. For more information, call Lucy at 356-6459.
