Choral Society rehearsals underway
ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Choral Society has started rehearsals for the Spring Concert on Palm Sunday, April 13. No auditions are necessary to join this four-part choir. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 202 South 11th.
This spring’s main work is “Requiem for the Living” by Dan Forrest.

St. Anthony raffle winners named
WELLS — The winner of the St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle dated Jan. 13 is Tom and Christine Lofquist of Escanaba. They won the weekly prize of $100.

ESCANABA — Escanaba Eagles 1088 will be serving breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 608 Ludington Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Movie event to support Bay College pantry
ESCANABA — Lakeside Christian church in cooperation with Bay Area Christian Ministries (BACM) and Delta Church, will host a showing of the Angel Studios movie “Sight” on Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Besse Theatre on Bay College’s campus.
The film is based on the true story of a doctor who works to bring sight to an orphan. It is rated PG 13.
The cost of admission is a donation of nonperishable food items of any amount or another donation to replenish the Bay College pantry. For questions contact Ryan Gilroy at 219-798-2965.
Book donation drop-off location changes
ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters is looking for donations of books, audio books, DVDs and music CDs to be sold at its annual book sale at the Waterfront Art Festival. They are also in need of large print books, which are often requested.
Funds from the annual sale are used to publish Voter Guides and for other voter services.
Donated materials should be no more than 10 years old and in good condition. The League is not able to accept and store large quantities of books and requests that the books meet the donation criteria.
The book drop-off location has changed. Books can be delivered during normal business hours to the Ludington Centre, 1112 Ludington St. Use the 11th Street entrance, Suite 208, walk straight in and look for the sign. Pick-ups can also be arranged by calling Pat Rudden at 906-280-1789.
