Delta County 100+ Women Who Care
ESCANABA — Delta County 100+ Women Who Care is a charitable organization that supports Delta County 501(c)3 nonprofits. Individual members, or teams of up to four people, commit to donating $100 at each of the meetings, which take place four times a year. During each meeting, nonprofit organizations are nominated and short presentations are given on each group’s activities. Then, the group as a whole votes and the winning organization receives checks from members at the end of the night.
Nominations must be submitted no later than the Monday prior to the meeting to allow time for vetting.
So far, Harlie’s Angels received $3,400, Tri-County Safe Harbor received $4,680 and the U.P. Foster Closet received $5,300.
Meetings are held at the Highland Golf Club and are scheduled for the third Thursdays in January, April, July and October. Registration is held from 5 to 6 p.m., with an optional meal. Meetings run from 6 to 7 p.m.
