Brunch at Elks

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks club will be holding its monthly brunch on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. As always, the public is welcome.

MARSP luncheon Wednesday

MANISTIQUE — MARSP members will hold their luncheon on Wednesday, January 8 at the 40 Bar and Grill at 100 S 2nd Street in Manistique. Time to socialize will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon.

The guest speaker will be Heather Tyner, activities director at the Manistique Senior Citizen Center.

Retired school personnel from Eastern Delta and Schoolcraft counties are invited to attend. Call Ruth at 906-283-3209 with any questions.

Dems to meet

ESCANABA — The Delta County Democratic Party will meet Wednesday, January 8, from 7-8 p.m. at Carpenters Hall, 1219 First Avenue South, Escanaba. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. Guests and new members are welcome.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by  Crossfire. There will be a door cost and a free will donation lunch.

Trivia and Tacos

ESCANABA — St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish, 709 1st Avenue South in Escanaba, will be having their Trivia and Taco night on Saturday, Jan. 11 in the parish hall. Teams with 2 – 6 players are welcome. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with the first round beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Also available will be an all-you-can-eat taco/nacho bar.

Cash prizes will be awarded for forst, second and third place teams. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
