Lighthouse, museum to open for holidays
ESCANABA — The Delta County Historical Society will open the Sand Point Lighthouse to holiday visitors on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 27, for an old-fashioned Christmas at the lighthouse. From 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. each day, guests are welcome to visit the lighthouse, where they will be treated to cookies, hot cider, and Christmas music. Society members and friends, family guests, and visitors to the area are invited to the free annual event.
The DCHS Board of Directors offers the open house as a thank you to the community for its support of the historical society’s mission. Guests are invited to tour both the lighthouse and the museum without charge during the event
Dance in Rock
ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Crossfire. There will be a door cost and a free will donation lunch.

DAV meetings planned
ESCANABA — The Disabled American Veterans meetings have been reinstated. Meetings take place every first Monday of the month at the Purple Heart building in Escanaba at 7 a.m.
