GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library holiday hours are as follows:

Dec. 23 — open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle winner

ESCANABA — The St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle winner for Dec. 16 is Kaye Rowlands of Escanaba. Rowlands won the weekly prize of $100.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by  Crossfire. There will be a door cost and a free will donation lunch.

DAV meets Mondays

ESCANABA — The Disabled American Veterans meetings have been reinstated. Meetings take place every first Monday of the month at the Purple Heart building in Escanaba at 7 a.m.

Christmas cantatas planned for Dec. 22

ROCK — This year’s Rock-Perkins Area Cantata Choir will annual Christmas concert will feature a performance of “He Shall Reign Forevermore,” by Jay Rouse. Performances will Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Rock; 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins; and 6 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow each performance, and a free-will offering will be accepted to help with the cost of the music.

Free clothes closet

GLADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Church Clothes Closet is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closet offers free clothes, coats and shoes for children, adults and in all sizes, including infant and plus sizes. The church and clothes closet are located at 1920 Lake Shore Dr., Gladstone (near McDonald’s).
