Gladstone Library Christmas story hour
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will host a “Hot Cocoa Christmas” story hour on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All children ages 2 to 10 years old and their families are welcome to join in the holiday festivities. The event will feature holiday stories, festive music, crafts, and a special treat.

Choral Society Christmas concert set
ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Choral Society will present their annual Christmas concert, “Make We Joy,” on Sunday, December 1 at 1:30 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 202 South 11th Street in Escanaba. As well as the choir there will be handbells, brass, recorder, percussion, flute, piano and organ.
Ann Wood is the director with John Ignotoski as accompanist. A free will offering will be taken.
Elks Auxiliary to meet
ESCANABA — The Elks Auxiliary will hold their December meeting on Thursday, Dec. 5. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting to follow.

Kid’s Christmas party in Ford River Dec. 14
FORD RIVER — The Ford River Lions Club will be hosting a Kid’s Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon to 3 p.m. The event will feature a hayride, food, crafts, gifts, and a visit from Santa. Those attending may park at the Ford River Pub to catch a hayride.
NARFE to meet Wednesday
ESCANABA — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, by Zoom only. The group will hear a presentation by Jenalyn Hintzke of the Federal Blue Cross program.
Members will also elect 2025 Chapter officers.
Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the Chapter email distribution and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.
Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.
