ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s church is having a meat pie sale on Dec. 12 and 13.

Pies are half pork and half ground chuck.

Pies must be pre-ordered by calling or texting Debbie at 906-399-4259.

Pick up is at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba from 1 to 4 p.m.

Gladstone Library sets holiday hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will be open Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Menominee MARSP to meet in Carbondale

CARBONDALE — The Menominee County Chapter of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Road 338 in Carbondale. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. Central time and the meal will be served at noon. Lunch will be a chicken dinner at a cost of $14.

Members are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys, books and games to be distributed to the Salvation Army Christmas gift drive. Christmas cards for members who are not able to attend meetings will be available for signing. In the event of inclement weather on Dec. 5, the alternate date for the meeting would be Dec. 12.
