Gladstone Library sets holiday hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will be open Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Menominee MARSP sets meeting

CARBONDALE — The Menominee County Chapter of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Road 338 in Carbondale. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. Central time and the meal will be served at noon. Lunch will be a chicken dinner at a cost of $14.

Members are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys, books and games to be distributed to the Salvation Army Christmas gift drive. Christmas cards for members who are not able to attend meetings will be available for signing. In the event of inclement weather on Dec. 5, the alternate date for the meeting would be Dec. 12.

The program will be presented by The Goodfellas – John Wills and Dave Ebsch. A brief business meeting will follow the program. For late reservations or cancellations members should contact Linda Linczeski at 906-863-8892 or llinczeski@hotmail.com

Forest Service Retiree’s Christmas lunch

WELLS — The Forest Service Retiree’s Christmas lunch will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Solberg Buck Inn Sports Bar in Wells from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In the spirit of the giving season, retirees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.
