Hunters Dinner Saturday

RAPID RIVER — The Walter W. Cole Post 301 Annual Hunters Turkey Dinner will take place at the post, Saturday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. Children age five and under eat free.

Raffle drawings will take place at 7 p.m.

Eagles breakfast Sunday

ESCANABA — Escanaba Eagles 1088, 608 Ludington, will be serving breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Forest Service Retirees Christmas lunch

WELLS — The Forest Service Retiree’s Christmas lunch will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Solberg Buck Inn Sports Bar in Wells from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In the spirit of the giving season, retirees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.

St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle winners

ESCANABA — Dale and Mary Smith of Escanaba are the next winners of the weekly $100 prize of the St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle.

Upcoming commodity distributions

ESCANABA — The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) with Menominee Delta Schoolcraft Community Action Agency is scheduled for distribution in Menominee and Delta counties in November.

The CSFP is for residents who are 60 years of age or older who meet the income guidelines of 130% of federal poverty level. The monthly income guidelines for 2024 are as follows:

— Household of 1 = $1,632 or less per month

— Household of 2 = $2,215 or less per month

— Household of 3 = $2,798 or less per month

— For each additional family member add $583 per month

Must go to the location where you are registered.

Delta County distributions for CSFP will be:

— ESCANABA – November 21 at U.P. State Fairgrounds from 10 – 11 a.m.  906-786-8850

Menominee County distributions for CSFP will be:

— MENOMINEE – Nov. 19 at Senior Center from 11 to noon. 906-863-2158

— MID COUNTY – Nov. 19 at Senior Center from 9 to 10 a.m.  906-753-6986
