NMU Wildcat Battalion commissions cadets
MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University Wildcat Battalion commissioned nine NMU cadets as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army at a ceremony held on May 6. The cadets took their oath of office and had bars pinned on their uniforms. Maj. Scott Little, department head and professor of military science, was the featured speaker at the ceremony.
The new second lieutenants and their hometowns (Michigan unless otherwise specified) are: Seth Berenz of Marinette, Wis.; Emma Cushman of Plainwell; Alexis Dickie of Canton; Bridget Hollen, of East Grand Rapids; Collin Metzger of Palmyra, Wis.; Faith Moody of Weidman; Hunter Slade of Escanaba; Garrett St. John of Breckenridge; and Jack Teichman of Honolulu, Hawaii.
