Gereau-Maskart celebrates 100th birthday
GLADSTONE — On Nov. 9, 2019, Luella Gereau-Maskart celebrated her 100th birthday party with family and friends — who came as far as California and New York — which was held at the Terrace. Gereau-Maskart was born in Perkins, the daughter of Josephine LeDuc and David Gereau. She was the fourteenth of seventeen children, and is the sole survivor.
In December of 1939, she married Rene Maskart and had four children: Doug, Cherie, Diane and David. She has 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was active in the Gladstone community for many, many years, and owned the Regal Bridal Salon in Gladstone, then Escanaba. At 80 years old, Gereau-Maskart made a hole-in-one at the Gladstone Golf Club.
She currently lives in Gladstone, at Lake View Assisted Living.
