MDOT has announced it is lifting restrictions on state roadwork projects in anticipation of expected record 4th of July holiday travel. The US-2 resurfacing project near Rapid River is included as one of the projects that will have lane restrictions lifted. Restrictions will be lifted on Thursday at 3 p.m., and lifted on Monday at 6 a.m. 106 of the 177 active MDOT projects across the state will be lifting restrictions.
