MANISTIQUE — Officers responded to a medical facility on Monday for a resident who committed suicide. At approximately 6:09 a.m., Manistique Public Safety officers and Manistique EMS were dispatched to Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility (SMCF) in Manistique for a possible life-threatening situation. The first officer arrived at 6:12 a.m. and was briefed by SMCF staff, and determined that there was no risk to staff, facility residents, or the general public.
