MENOMINEE - Menominee County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that the following seniors were awarded one of three $500 scholarships. The recipients are: Lauren Edlbeck, Abby Dufrane, and Jakob Marciniak.
The purpose of Menominee County Federal Credit Union scholarships is to recognize the achievements of our high school graduates, and to provide financial assistance as they pursue their educational goals.
Lauren Edlbeck, Wausaukee, Wis., graduated from Wausaukee High School with a 3.99 GPA. While in high school, Lauren was active in National Honor Society, Student Council, Hi-Q, and Forensics. Lauren was also a member of the Softball, Volleyball, and Basketball team. Lauren plans on attending Michigan State University in the fall to pursue a career as a physical therapist.
Abby Dufrane, Marinette, Wis., graduated from Marinette High School with a 3.81 GPA. While in high school, Abby was involved in many sports such as Golf, Track and Field, Basketball, and was part of the Student Athlete Leadership Team. Abby was also a member of the National Honor Society and Youth Advisory Committee. Abby plans on attending the University of South Dakota in the fall to pursue a degree in Sports Management.
Lee Jakob Marciniak, Daggett, graduated from Stephenson High School with a 3.85 GPA. While in high school, Lee was involved in many activities such as FFa, Hi-Q, National Honor Society, and Band. Lee was also active in community events such as Food Drives, Toys for Tots, and helping out at the Salvation Army. Lee plans on attending Michigan State University in the fall to pursue a major in Agricultural Industries.
