Local resident earns master's in nursing
EAST LANSING - Roselinde Alaine Bender-Boyne, daughter of Bryan and Cynthia Bender of Escanaba, graduated from Michigan State University's College of Nursing on May 2 with her master's degree in nursing with family nurse practitioner (FNP) specialty.
She is a graduate of Escanaba Area High School, Class of 2001, and has been a graduate of Bay de Noc Community College for nursing and Michigan State University for nutritional science and nursing.
Roselinde has worked at Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing since 2007. She has been hired at Hayes Green Beach Health System in Charlotte, Mich., as a family nurse practitioner to expand their family and child patient population.
Parker graduates from U of W-Stout
MENOMONIE, Wis. - Cameron Parker of Gladstone participated in commencement ceremonies at University of Wisconsin-Stout in May. Parker received a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation.
UW-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, has 45 undergraduate majors and 23 graduate programs, including one doctoral degree. UW-Stout, established in 1891, boasts an employment rate at or above 97 percent for recent graduates. The university was awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality award in 2001.
Wardwell earns master's degree
DEKALB, Ill. - Joshua Wardwell of Escanaba is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University (NIU). Wardwell graduated with a master's degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. NIU announced the awarding of graduate degrees on May 9.
Chartered in 1895, NIU is a comprehensive teaching and research institution with a diverse and international student body of about 21,000 and provides more than 60 undergraduate majors and 100 graduate- and doctoral- level programs in seven colleges (Business, Education, Engineering and Engineering Technology, Health and Human Sciences, Law, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts).
