January 28, 2014
Daily Press

BARK RIVER - An electric outage in the Bark River area that began at about 7 a.m. was caused when a line snapped due to the extremely cold weather, according to Upper Peninsula Power Co. officials. Crews are on site and making repairs, but UPPCO said this morning they expect power to remain out for another three to four hours.

Outages were also been reported in the Rock and Brampton areas by other electric companies Monday evening. Power has been restored in those areas.
