Former Mid Peninsula Wolverine standout Brett Branstrom had his number retired on Monday night before the Mid Peninsula boys team took on Gladstone. Presenting Branstrom with the award is Mid Peninsula athletic director Gary Brayak. Branstrom, who is a freshman on the NMU basketball team, finished his career with 1,785 points. Branstrom was a Class D All-State selection in both 2012 and 2013. As a senior (2012-13) Branstrom averaged 25.2 points and 21.1 rebounds-per-game.
