"Last week my daughter, daughter-in-law, and I were in the mall. We ended up at the angel trees near the food court. I didn't realize how many children were on these trees. The Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, and Harbor House put these trees out for families who need a helping hand. The trees have angel tags with boys and girls and their ages. They are children with Christmas wishes from newborns needing diapers to teen boys wishing for aftershave. What surprised me is that most of these children wanted socks, mittens, and hats.
We grabbed a handful of angels and shopped like they were our own. They became our kids for a little while. Yesterday we took our bags back to the mall. I was happy until I saw the trees were still full of angels.
I am writing this to inform people about these angel trees or remind them that they are there. These organizations are accepting gifts until Dec. 16. There is nothing more important than children having hope, love, and happiness at Christmastime. If you are able and can adopt just one or two angels, please-lets get those trees empty! P.S. You don't even have to wrap, just put the angel in the bag with the gift!"
"From a Grandma and her daughters, Merry Christmas to all!"
