Dorothy A. Percifield

WILSON - Dorothy A. Percifield, 95, Wilson, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born on Sept. 5, 1918 in Wilson, the daughter of the late Otto and Mabel (Boyd) Schoen. On Nov. 27, 1947 she married the late Lester Percifield in Milwaukee.

Dorothy proudly served her country in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. She had the joy of being a part of the Honor Flight in Sept. 2012. Dorothy had a very strong love and devotion to her husband, daughter, grandsons and great-grandson, as well as her faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (Don) Junek; four grandsons, Scott, Shayne, Jason and Kyle Junek; one great-grandson (the sunshine of her life), Anthony Junek; her grand doggy, Chloe; and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and six brothers.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding with Tony Revord American Legion Post 244 rites at 3:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Zindler officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Powers. Burial will take place in the Wilson Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her name and a memorial will be established.
