ESCANABA - Alyssa Marie Allen and Tyler Michael Ojaniemi were united in marriage on Aug. 24 during a 2 p.m. ceremony held at the North Shore Boat Launch in Escanaba. Mayor Leo Evans officiated.
A reception honoring the newlyweds was held at the Gladstone Sports Park.
Alyssa chose her long-time friend, Misty Maynard, to be the maid of honor. Her close friend, Lindsey Reinhart, and her sister, Amber Allen, were bridesmaids.

Standing as the best man was Wally Petrouske, a close friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Brandon Guare and Sam Branstrom.
The bride is the daughter of Angela Kulak of Gladstone and Wayne Allen of Iron Belt, Wis. A 2009 graduate of Gladstone High School, Alyssa is currently a stay-at-home mom to the couple's 1-year-old daughter, Hazel.
Tyler is the son of Glenn Ojaniemi of Flat Rock and the nephew of Sandra Cripps of Escanaba. He attended Escanaba High School and is completing requirements for his welding certificate at Bay de Noc Community College. He is employed as a shift manager at Taco Bell.
The couple resides in Gladstone and is planning a honeymoon for the summer of 2014.
