On Oct. 23, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon, a terrorist attack killed 220 U.S. Marines, 18 Sailors, and 3 Army personnel. Another 128 were injured with at least 13 of those later dying from their injuries.
They were on a peace keeping mission.
Nearly half of the U.S. population was not born at the time of this terrible incident. I pray everyone will take a moment to reflect and remember on the 30th anniversary of this tragic Middle East event on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.
